Who we are

Marketing Momentum is the trading name of Marketing Momentum Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15174802). Our registered office is 6 Eastergate, Beaconsfield, HP9 1TQ. In practice, Marketing Momentum is Julian Moore: this is a one-person consultancy, so the person reading your message is the person responsible for your data.

We are the data controller for personal data collected through marketingmomentum.io. If anything in this policy is unclear, email julian@marketingmomentum.io.

The data we collect

Data you give us

If you use the contact form, email us, message us on LinkedIn or book a call, we collect what you send: typically your name, work email address, company and whatever you tell us about your situation.

If we work together, we also hold the information needed to run the engagement: contact details, contract and billing information, and the working documents the engagement produces.

Data collected automatically

With your consent, Google Analytics gives us usage data about the site: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you found us. With the same consent, Apollo.io's website visitor tool helps us understand which companies visit the site. Both are collected through cookies and similar technologies. Our Cookie Policy lists exactly what is set and how to refuse it.

Framer, the platform this site runs on, provides aggregate, cookieless visitor statistics and keeps standard server logs to run and secure the site.

Data from other sources

Because we sell to businesses, we sometimes research potential clients using public professional sources such as LinkedIn profiles, company websites and Companies House. We collect only business-relevant information: name, role, company and work contact details.

What we do not collect

This site has no user accounts and takes no payments. We do not ask for sensitive personal information, and we would ask you not to send any.

How we use it

• To answer enquiries and follow up. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps towards a contract at your request.
• To deliver client engagements, invoice, and keep proper business records. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, and our legal obligations for accounting and tax.
• To contact people at businesses we believe we can genuinely help. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. Every such message tells you how to opt out, and if you object we will not contact you again.
• To understand how the site is used and which companies visit, and to improve it. Lawful basis: your consent to analytics and visitor-insight cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell personal data, and we make no decisions about you by automated means.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the business, each acting under contract:

• Framer (website hosting and form handling)
• Google (business email and documents via Google Workspace, plus Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager)
• Attio (our CRM, where enquiries and client relationships are tracked)
• Apollo.io (website visitor insight and sales tooling, used on the site only with your consent)

Beyond that, data is shared only with professional advisers such as our accountant where necessary, or where the law requires it. No third party is permitted to use your data for its own purposes.

International transfers

Most data is stored in the UK or the European Economic Area, which UK law treats as providing adequate protection. Some providers, such as Google, process data in the United States. Those transfers are protected by the UK-US Data Bridge or by standard contractual clauses approved for UK use.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to two years after our last contact, so we have context if you come back.
• Client records: the length of the engagement plus six years, in line with UK tax and limitation rules.
• Analytics data: held in Google Analytics for no longer than 14 months; the cookies themselves expire as set out in the Cookie Policy.
• Email: reviewed periodically and deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

UK GDPR gives you rights over your personal data:

• Access: ask for a copy of what we hold.
• Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure: ask us to delete data we no longer need to keep.
• Restriction: limit how we use your data while a question is resolved.
• Portability: receive data you provided in a reusable format.
• Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests, including any direct marketing, which we will stop on request.
• Withdrawing consent: where processing relies on consent, withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these, email julian@marketingmomentum.io. We respond within one month, and there is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Personal data is held in the systems listed above, each protected by access controls and run by providers with their own security programmes. Access to that data is limited to Julian Moore.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

Changes to this policy

When anything changes, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
